Dita Von Teese made an appearance in London today, but it wasn't to strip off as part of her Burlesque routine. The 36-year-old dancer was in the capital to launch her latest line for lingerie giants, Wonderbra. However, she left the stripping to two leggy models, while keeping her modesty in a formulaic, low-cut black dress and elbow-length leather gloves. Dita signed up with Wonderbra in 2008 and launched her first range for the company in September of that year. And, like the star much of the lingerie harks back to the 1940s and 50s, and is based on her very own designs. Burlesque star launches a new range of lingerie for Wonderbra The latest line features five styles and includes the Multi Teese Party Edition bra and thong set, with elegant velvet straps, bow detail and sequins. Other items intended to inspire customers to get into the party mood include a vintage-style red and black high suspender belt, black lace bra and knicker set, and a red and black cleavage-enhancing bra with lace detail and a ribbon bow. Last year Dita revealed that becoming the face of Wonderbra was a dream come true. The new Wonderbra features lingerie inspired by 1940s and 50s and is based on Dita Von Teese's very own designs 'I've always wanted to do something with lingerie and it was important for the finished product to be something I would wear myself,' she said. Dita Von Teese’s lingerie room
Dita Von Teese is so addicted to lingerie she has a room devoted to her underwear.
The burlesque performer – who recently launched her own range for underwear company Wonderbra – admits she can’t stop buying pretty undergarments.
She is quoted as saying: “I have trunks full of lingerie. I have a whole room that is solely for my lingerie. I have three vintage Armoires full of vintage lingerie and then I have things in storage and a corset box too.”
Dita – who is divorced from goth rocker Marilyn Manson – also revealed she has “no idea” how much lingerie she actually owns, adding: “It's just too many to count.”
Dita, 35, recently revealed she loses the power of speech if she meets a good-looking guy.
She said: "I don't claim to be a good judge of character in relationships. I get so nervous when I'm attracted to someone that I can't talk. I'm so scared of rejection - I'm not good around boys."

Dita von Teese reveals Wonderbra lingerie collection
A leading light in the revival of burlesque, Dita Von Teese is celebrated for her hourglass curves and the retro style she wears to make the most of them.
Naturally for the model and muse, it's important to love every layer.
Lingerie has long loomed large in her life, and now the star has launched her own designs for underwear brand Wonderbra - fittingly, by perching on a swing shaped like a giant bra, in London's Covent Garden.
And she's thrilled that her designs will soon be making their way into other women's lingerie drawers.
"My first job was working in a lingerie store and I always thought some day I would love to have my own lingerie store or be a lingerie buyer, I never thought that I would be doing this."
Dita appeared wearing an elegant peach strapless gown, cinched in at the waist to show off her curves - the immaculate makeup and glamorous waving hair-do goes without saying.
Her vintage look is inspired by the golden age of 1940s cinema.
"I think I'm really sort of mostly influenced by the past but not just of one particular era I think a lot of the eras are kind of - I like the idea of them all being melding together and it just being about the spirit of old Hollywood"
Like her former husband Marilyn Manson, Dita loves a show stopping image.
The star kicks against the trend for natural beauty - creating a memorable look is far more fun, she says.
"There's just so much emphasis put on being natural and real and of the moment and fashionable I kind of disagree with all those things, I love artifice I love man made beauty, I like the idea of being whoever you want to be and not just saying this is what I've got, this is what I've going to live with"
And she bats away any suggestion that beauty is pain when it comes to shaping her figure with corsets. She bought her first one when she was at school and has been a fan of them ever since.
"A lot of people put a lot of emphasis on oh, me wearing corsets and the pain and suffering but I think it's a little like wearing a high heeled shoe, it's not as pleasant as wearing a - going barefoot of course, but there's something about it that we love, that manipulation and the sort of discipline and the way that everything changes about your body shape and that's what I love about things like corsets and high heeled shoes."
Making a statement with your style is what it's all about for Dita. Her fashion icons are all brave with their wardrobe choices.
"I definitely look to people that have an unfaltering sense of themselves, I love seeing what Tilda Swinton is wearing for instance, I think she has a really distinctive, interesting look and doesn't play it safe."
"Madonna throughout her history has done some outrageous things," she continues, "and I know that she's - you can tell that when she puts together a look or a style she knows about it, it's not just a team of people doing it."
Your look doesn't have to be always polished and sleek to get Dita's vote, just strong.
"Amy Winehouse who has a very distinctive style with regard to her make up and her hair and even though it gets a little messy sometimes, it's still there and it doesn't change."
And the first step towards top to toe perfection?
"You know, you should definitely have good lingerie, you should respect yourself by throwing out all the things that have holes and blown out elastic or stains or whatever, just get rid of it and buy something new. But fortunately you don't have to spend a lot of money to have glamor and function in your lingerie drawer anymore," insists Dita, "and I think the other thing is good shoes."

Dita Von Teese: My Inspiration
As a true lingerie devotee, my goal in designing this range of lingerie was to create a collection that I would love to wear myself! I have been a longtime collector of fine vintage lingerie, and so I wanted to combine the most beautiful and sensual elements of vintage lingerie with the outstanding fit and quality that Wonderbra is famous for. This lingerie is not only a pleasure to wear, but it demands to be seen!
I am very particular about how my lingerie fits, the quality of the fabrics used, and the way that it shapes my figure, and so I ensure that the lingerie wasn’t just beautiful and glamorous, but that every bit of care was taken to guarantee that these pieces would be something for a woman to wear underneath her clothes for great fit and shaping any day or night of the week! Glamour shouldn’t be saved for special occasions, after all.
I don’t believe that beautiful and sexy lingerie should be something a woman just puts on for her lover; I have always enjoyed lingerie as a way to add beauty and glamour to my everyday life, and having that little beauty secret with you on any given day is a wonderful way to seduce yourself… which is ultimately what a glamour girl’s best strategy in seducing others.

Dita Von Teese Wonderbra Lingerie Preview
Burlesque beauty Dita Von Teese has unveiled her new lingerie collection.
And with one bra-bottom combo featuring a magnetic clip, it’s set to make daring stripteases a cinch.
Von Teese said her new Wonderbra range was inspired by the glamour of the 1940s and 50s.
“I love it when you can go about your daily business with the knowledge that you have a little secret of your own on underneath,” 35-year-old Von Teese added.
“Lingerie shouldn’t be something you just put on for your lover; you should do it for you.
“It’s not about seducing men, it’s about embracing womanhood.”
Von Teese, whose retro chic brings to mind old school glamour of stars such as Ava Gardner and Betty Grable, firmly refuses to be careless about her appearance.
"I know the picture the paparazzi want is me coming out of Starbucks in jeans with my hair all messy, but that's just not going to happen," she laughs.
"I just think that when you take a minute to look your best, you get what you want. And," she adds, "I pretty much get what I want."
The limited edition lingerie collection goes on sale on September 23.

Highly Seductive Sexy Lingerie
I came across this online store a few weeks ago via stumbleupon and thought some of the readers of this blog might like it. Nothing makes a women feel sexier than looking hot in some sexy new lingerie.
Highly Seductive is an online Lingerie shop that stocks some of the most unique lingerie I have seen, you won't find this stuff in department stores!
Some of the items range from unbelievably cute to so naughty they have had to blur the exposed areas on the models - so naughty but very nice (your partner will agree I'm sure).
It looks like you can get a $10 discount voucher at the moment by signing up for their newsletter, sounds like a fair trade to me. If you're looking for some new sexy lingerie, the kind you won't find at your local store definately check them out for yourself.
Highly Seductive offer and pretty good range of Bras, Bras Sets, Panties and Thongs, Corsets, Loungewear and Teddies. Brands they stock include Anais, Obsssive, Lola Luna, Axami and Conrad.
My favorite items are the two pictured in this post. Top Left is the Electra Baby Doll by Obsessive. Here's the description from the site: Tempting set: open front babydoll and thong. Top tied by wide ribbon exposes breasts. Edges of the top, straps and upper part of thong trimmed with satin frill. Set looks very tempting because of emphasized breasts and sheer open front.
Pictured right is the Flamenco Bra and Panties Set also by Obsessive. Description: Scanty satin bra has cups trimmed with lace, adjustable straps allow to fit the body perfectly. Thong in the same colour is trimmed with lace, and frills at sides look very interesting.
The Flamenco Corset also looks pretty hot!
I believe Highly Seductive is based in Australia due to the .com.au domain name - and the pricing is in Australian dollars, but this is quite close to the US dollar at the moment anyway.
So go have a look for yourself and let us know what you think!
