Blast-Off Burlesque Mysterious Mysteries of the Unknown

The world premiere of Mysterious Mysteries of the Unknown launches Blast-Off Burlesque’s 2009 SciFi-A-GoGo series at Alcove Gallery, January 16 and 17, 2009. Mysterious Mysteries of the Unknown is one part paranormal investigation, one part spy thriller, and one part urban legend experience, presented in a variety of burlesque and vaudeville acts, and side show shenanigans.

Featuring debut of its new short film and performances of fresh Blast-Off acts, the two-hour spectacular showcases guest performances from some of Atlanta’s best-known personalities including Syrens of the South, Vagina Jenkins, and Calu. Additional guests include Hoopsie Daisy, Melanie Magnifique, May Delight, Hammerhead Andy, and surprise appearances from a few paranormal superstars.

Admission is $10, and includes free beer and wine for those 21 and up. Doors are at 9 p.m. and the show begins at 10 p.m. sharp. The Mysterious Mysteries of the Unknown preview show, on January 16, is limited to 100 attendees. Attendees who purchase advance tickets for both shows receive seating preference; day of show tickets will be standing room only.

Alcove Gallery is located at 2852 East College Avenue, Decatur, Ga. 30030. Parking is available on the surrounding streets, as well as in the lot of Twin Oaks shopping center.
