Burlesque Star Sues over use of name, 1955.
Claiming that shake dancer Rosa La Roso "was a mere child when I was established," white burlesque queen Rosa La Rose sought a New York court injunction to prohibit the Negro dancer from performing under so similar a name. Counter Rosa: "I never even heard of that other Rose."
