The First Annual International Amsterdam Burlesque Festival is a 4-night celebration of World-Class Burlesque Entertainment. Featuring a hand-selected cast of performers from Holland and beyond, ABF 2009 will showcase the best in Classic Striptease and Circus Sideshow to Variety Arts from around the globe!
This remarkable event will premiere on November 19-20-21-22 in Amsterdam’s dazzling CASABLANCA Circus Tent. This intimate venue gives a nostalgic nod to the days of yesteryear, when Classic Burlesque, Circus Sideshow and Variety Entertainment were presented under one roof.
The Amsterdam Burlesque Festival has been a work in progress for some time. The inspiration for this pioneering Amsterdam event came from the participation of Miss Beeby Rose in Chaz Royal's London Burlesque Festival in 2007. After several attempts were made to start an Amsterdam Festival by other local producers, Miss Beeby Rose was inspired to move forward with her idea and enlisted the expertise of veteran producer, Chaz Royal to set the stage for the Amsterdam Burlesque Festival!

Dita Von Teese's Hands On Performance
Dita Von Teese was assisted by some wandering hands during her latest burlesque revue.
She was starring in the Gentry De Paris show in the French capital and put in a typically raunchy performance.
Wearing trademark nipple tassels and not much else, Dita strutted her stuff in front of a black curtain with a pair of arms reaching out from behind.
Dita recently revealed she's in constant fear her tassles will slip during shows.
That's why she takes extreme measures to prevent an overload of titillation.
She explained: "I use serious waterproof glue, because I'm in a martini glass.
"Crystals are heavy and there's a lot going on."
